    Dura Ace wheel

I found this oddity on Facebook marketplace. It's NOT mine and I don't know the seller, but £30 for what may be a DuraAce front wheel (track disc?) https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 789226210/

PotM - August - The Enemy

re. endoscope... I've a friend who uses one for work (bat surveys), and, when it came, he was surprised to note that it warned: "Not for internal use."

    Anyone want any USE stuff??

Do they have any a-headset caps I wonder

    Dave Lloyd 753 ???

It looks like there is sufficient left for a reasonable spanner to engage in the notches - they are quite deep. I wonder what the holes for the peg spanner are like? Ordinary b/bs can be refitted in Mavic'ed frames.

    Dave Lloyd 753 ???

Looks like you've got a Mavic bottom bracket there as well as the headset. A bit mashed around the lock-rings alas, but has replaceable bearings and mounts without using the b/b threads. The cartridge bearings are an odd size if I recall - mix of metric and imperial. It might be a worth...

today, i filled my rear tyre with grass.....what do you do?

Re: today, i filled my rear tyre with grass.....what do you Crisp packets scavenged from the undergrowth to cover a cut in the side wall of a tyre. Zip ties to hold tyre onto a very split rim.

What's wrong with this rear HS33?

Seems most likely explanation, esp if bought from someone who removed them from a frame and didn't spot the wee bit screwed into the stud. Do you have the plates that fit onto the canti-stud behind the units?

Damaged Bottom bracket threads please help.

Mavic made a b/b which fitted against a chamfer cut into the b/b shell. Replaceable bearings and adjustable chain line. There are shops out there which still have the cutting tool (but not the b/b).

Answer Pro Taper 685 XC Trail Flat Bar 2012 1/2 price @CRC

Re: Answer Pro Taper 685 XC Trail Flat Bar 2012 1/2 price @C Got mine :) Nice but the red is NOT a hot red. It's like the old Hope red (which faded to pink) rather than the current shade. It also looks a lower colour temperature because of the surface texture.

Cracking stem - RaceFace Deus XC

I don't feel so cack-handed now - it seems as a few folk have had the same problem. Tompson then, as on my other bikes.

Cracking stem - RaceFace Deus XC

Just found this crack/split in my RaceFace Deus XC stem. It's under 3 years old. It's on the underside at the junction with the steerer. It looks to be full thickness as opposed to cosmetic. From the location, shape and size, I'm thinking it's an over-tightening issue, rather than impact or...

    Talbot Frameworks

Ooo, that sounds like it's going to be really interesting. The bike on the Talbot site is a beautiful colour and interesting shape round the back end. Custom is a lovely choice. Years ago, I had a custom frame in Columbus Genius. It was painted in candy red with silver components. I've now...

    Hope are ACE!

My g/f has a set of XC wheels. After years of hard use the read began creaking. We tried everything to isolate the issue. Twice, she took it to Stif, who were great, but couldn't find the fault. Then, at Sleepless, she chatted to Hope who said she should send it in. A few days later, it was...

One SERIOUSLY Dumb and Dangerous THICK Bitch With a Licence

Re: One SERIOUSLY Dumb and Dangerous THICK Bitch With a Lice Good idea to complain to BBC and ITV. Pressure The Times too, 'cos they are campaigning for cycling after one of their reporters was put in a coma by a stupid truch driver. Pressuring employers is another way, though do respect the...

Imagine my horror - cracking Magura fork

My two pennith: Not over tightened, 'cos that would strip the treads (magnesium cf steel bolt). Not bolts too long, 'cos that'd prob do the same. Poss too much grease in thread hole which, when the bolt was screwed in, built up pressure in the hole. A snug fit of the bolt in the threads...
