Sorry to hear that, these are bad times. Atleast your incomings are still greater than outgoings, I know it's not much consolation! I have got a second job myself at the moment, it's getting quite common.

Thanks guys, I was going to order one online as there are no bike shops round here but I think I shall hold fire till I can get to one and try a few on.

I've never been too bothered about wearing a lid however i've now decided to go for one. Maybe i'm getting older or the fact i'm commuting 5 miles each way on quite a busy road, I just feel I should get one now. Soooo whats decent and what's not?

Never been a fan of spd's. Running beartraps on both bikes at the moment. I must remember to buy some shin guards :lol:

For me it's the feel of retro mtb's. And like you say it does take you back. I was obsessed with riding when I was younger and had some fantastic times. I think riding similar bikes like I did back then kinda brings these feeling back for me and lets me just enjoy being a daft bugger on the bike...

The early saracens were indeed fantastic, I have a mate that swears by them and rates them over many top hardtails even today. The newer ones aren't so good. A month or so back a work mate told me he had quite a good saracen I could have if I wanted to fix it up, so after work we went along...

I'm just in charge of the team putting the design into practice. We have a guy that does the designing to the customers spec, he relays it to me and I make it look the way they want it to...

Oh I could believe it! I work for a large landscaping company and we get alot of similar gardens to clear out in the same way. Skips a plenty.... it's amazing some of the things you can find buried in gardens like this!

So what are you planning for the garden?

Nice tractor!! :D I work for a local botanical gardens at weekends and they have an old fordson dexta that I use with a chipper on the back. Retro cool! 8)
