I have set up a racing group on f/book for riders who actively race on older machines, we have affiliated to CTT so riders can race time trials as first claim in team colours... We have about 150 members online and a few now paid up club members who will be racing for "Retro Racing" officially...

Bit of a sparse turnout... but heyho... looking for funding to do it again as those that turned up enjoyed the afternoon.. I just cant afford to lose 100 quid for an afternoon's social event. Oldest bike we had turn up was 1895 Safety ... how retro is that? Mk1 Moulton won the tt event...

There is a freewheel competition in Malvern just after xmas and a New Years Day 5 mile tt in Staffordshire that is mostly downhill... I will be doing that on a 65 year old New Hudson clubman single speed.....

Re: Re: yeah, bring a few ... as the course is so short more than one go is likely to be good .... we have done similar on a hill climb in Malvern town centre in the past, 151metres ... 1in10 not steep, some riders had 5 or 6 goes at that one..

I will look into camping but none on site. There will be some in nearby Bewdley and probably in Stourport ... There is a big car park and areas around the bottom of the track and round the clubhouse for people to fettle bikes etc.

The circuit is about 1.5km so we could have a lap or two so a short enough race to have a few goes on different bikes.. A 12 or 6hr endurance event might be a laugh...

When I get a date sorted that is free for the circuit I will post it on here... the track is pretty cheap to hire fortunately... I would need about 20 people paying a couple of quid to race.. I think we have a sponsor for to cover insurances.

I am going to set up a time trial event for vintage and veteran bikes next summer, I have got some interest from a large group on facebook ... We have a likely venue in the West Midlands... closed road 1.5km .. with a bar... The plan would be to have lots of different categories so shoppers...
