That is a great pic. my new wall paper.
On a slightly different note, but still retrocool in its own fairly unique way... Lancias S4  :o :) :D 8)
Saw one of these in the flesh at AutoItalia day at Brooklands a couple of years back.
I remember seeing a alloy GT frame painted with the burt-esque flowers. literally covered, end to end. It was hanging as a frame in a bike shop.
I dont know who did it but it must of taken fricking weeks and weeks and weeks.
Ive also got my own mint sauce sketch JB drew me on a scrap of...
I remember a bloke in MBI that had basically machined every component on his bike (merlin frame) think the weight was down to sub 18lbs.
also didnt someone drill a frame as a showbike? Im sure i remember pics of that
interesting period. but not cool. as anyone thats ever snapped...
I remember that bright orange colour was used, think you could get the vit T in that colour or natural Ti, it had the later upper case block graphics IIRC, also remember a clockwork in purple and orange fade, similar to the classic orange/white
Im sure iv got a tee somewhere that shows mint on a red zinn with rc30s.
(how sad is it that i remember what bike being ridden by a sheep features on a 15yo tee shirt ive got somewhere!?!)
Seconded!! My first ever full susp experience was on that original trek (9000?) After that a proflex seemed great.... but I still don't think they are cool.
Im gonna sit on the fence....(using a local motion frame pad for comfort)
