    Shimano FAQ for dummies

Took a picture of the bottom of the frame, excuse the crude measuring tape. But the width is looking like 73mm, although the bottom bracket seems recessed inside slightly so is it really 68?

    Name these titanium spokes?

I had this wheelset built in 1996 and I wasn't as diligent then about keeping records and receipts for my upgrades. I know I saw these spokes in a mountain bike catalog, bike nashbar perhaps, and asked the guy to source them for my Ringle/Sun CR17A wheel build. Does anyone know which company...

I just need to hit the buy it now button on fleabay. For my 1994 Stumpjumper FS, the green bike pictured in this thread, I'm assembling a parts...

Wanted: Ringle turquoise seat post Skewer please!

Edited/condensed because I found the ringle moby seat post and derailler cogs. The elusive item I need help locating is a Ringle seat post skewer (not the one with the holes). See picture for what I'm looking for.

1994 Steel Stumpjumper Seatpost Size ?

Re: Bumping an old thread. Can anyone confirm if the 26.8 size is what I need for my 1994 Stumpjumper FS (the dark green, steel frame)? I'd like to complete some of the turquoise Ringle look and find a Moby post but I want to make sure I get the right diameter. This is my bike just to...

Two Stumpjumpers, 1994 and 198? in the USA

I would like to convert my 1994 green frame Stumpjumper to XTR, m900, but it looks like that requires going 8speed. How do I know if my rear hub and frame can handle 8spd?

    Help me build this S-Works

For which? Steer tube specs? Edit: Looks like 1" threaded. I'm thinking fsx for the fork. viewtopic.php?t=220982 I need to research Shimano groups to see what the later xtr/XT group sets were in the 90's. As if someone had upgraded the bike 4-5 years after purchase.

    Help me build this S-Works

I don't know the component model numbers and specs like you guys so I could use some help. I acquired this frame on Craigslist and would like to build it up as a bike I'll use on the trail with some nice bits here and there. Can someone help me with model numbers for either a Shimano XTR or...

Re: Thanks for the fast response. I hate to admit it but I'm really not positive, was hoping someone might know the steel stumpjumper frame size and head tube and offer up a Ringle stem that will fit for sure. I THINK I have a 1 1/8 diameter Judy fork.... I've searched the forum...
