Took a picture of the bottom of the frame, excuse the crude measuring tape. But the width is looking like 73mm, although the bottom bracket seems recessed inside slightly so is it really 68?

Edited/condensed because I found the ringle moby seat post and derailler cogs. The elusive item I need help locating is a Ringle seat post skewer (not the one with the holes). See picture for what I'm looking for.

I would like to convert my 1994 green frame Stumpjumper to XTR, m900, but it looks like that requires going 8speed. How do I know if my rear hub and frame can handle 8spd?

For which? Steer tube specs? Edit: Looks like 1" threaded. I'm thinking fsx for the fork. viewtopic.php?t=220982 I need to research Shimano groups to see what the later xtr/XT group sets were in the 90's. As if someone had upgraded the bike 4-5 years after purchase.
