Just get some luggage scales from ebay. Mine are accurate to 5g (only go up to 10kg but is enough for my bikes) and were under a tenner as I remember. Shipping is from China though so pretty slow :roll:

Unfortunately (in my desparation) there is a cocktail of chemicals in there, including WD40!!! :oops: Will Plus Gas have the same effect as WD40? I was thinking of letting it soak in the stuff for a while before I move to more to destuctive methods :evil: I've tryed freezing it with...

It's scary. I think eventualy I'll work up the courage to saw the post off at the frame and then cut the remaining post into segments and snap them inwards to break them away. :evil: :evil:

Has anyone else managed to get a carbon post stuck in a carbon frame? I've tried everything I can think of to get it out (including Plus Gas), but to no avail :cry:

I've got SID race carbon's and weigh about 70kg - still find them a tad flexy and at times a bit scarry! They are very very light though :D Does anyone know how to 'tune' them, i.e. make them lighter (other than Ti canti studs)??

Very helpful 8) - we had some problems with the post due to the royal mail's crazy antics, even despite him posting first class recorded! He followed it up fast and it is now sorted, and I have my lovely new shifter!! :D :D Cheers, highly recomended.

Ah forgot about the £1000 limit. It was ok for me as I have a £900 bike. I'm sure you can build up something really nice with second hand parts of here 8) . Put up a WTD add.

God thats horrific...really depressing that people like that exist :shock: As long as your house insurance knew about the value of your bike there should be no problem with them paying out. They were very good when my bike was nicked, they just asked what it was worth and gave me the money...

Ahrg..no money at the moment by cheers anyway. My friend is looking at one of their road bikes as his first bike, and I reckon it might be a good option as is v cheap (second hand) and probably performs in a similar way to many other carbon frames?

I realise that - but sadly they ruined their name by churning out loads of cheapy bikes. A vintage CB would be lovely.

Anyone know anything about where they get their frames from - presumably it is generic with their name stamped on? Is it snobby to be put off by the name? :?

Sounds good :D Never used sram before though...it is compatable with a shimano rear mech isn't it? Is it trigger or grip shift? Cheers
