    stolen san an!!

Gone to join my Mountain Cycle in the land of the scum too  Bet they're in the back of a garage somewhere abandoned. Got a couple of parts back which were bodged onto another bike in cash converters but not much consolation. Always a good excuse for new bikes though :D

Are those eyelets? I can't quite tell! I'll have them please, a bit of research shows they'll go well on a P7 :)

    The Cheap and Nasty

I've been thinking about this recently - what makes a bike 'appear' quality? I do believe pretty much anyone on this planet would pick out an XTR Zaskar (to use your example) as the quality bike over a £100 BSO just by looking at it. But I can't work out why! Is it just the shinyness of bits...

SOLD..17 inch 1995/1996 Nickel P7 Frame and Forks

Ah, I'm being a bit stupid - read the second post and took it as forks not included - somehow didn't take in the title and the entire first post! Doh. Nope, I meant the forks with the frame. Even more tempted now! Oh hold on, we're going up to Lancaster this weekend - I guess that's passing...

SOLD..17 inch 1995/1996 Nickel P7 Frame and Forks

Very tempted. Collection is the issue - my girlfriend is up in Chester in a couple of weeks but can't ask her to drive any further really. Any way around getting it to Chester? And if not, are you really against postage? Are the forks completely unavailable?

    ROX T shirts

I've got a brown Rox fleece top, bought about '95/'96 which I still use weekly! Got a paper clip for the zip handle and the elastic is tied in a knot with no adjuster, but I love it - the most comfy thing ever :D I can speak to a friend who designs and prints his own T-shirts to see if he'd...

    Camouflage! 1986 Mountain Goat Trials

I wonder if RockShox will take up that design for their next model adjustable seatpost. One that actually works! Very cool bike 8)

XT M737 Hubs, as NOS *SOLD*

I have a set of FH-M737 and HB-M737 hubs not being used (someone owed me so I took these for a build which never happened). I'd say they look like they've had about 5 miles of use, but they have obviously never been laced, so I guess that means they've picked up a tiny mark or 2 in a box...

Hmm, from 2009! Good luck :P

    We've been rumbled guys

Fair points...yet the majority of people on here own, and the most sought after bikes, seem to be the steel hand-built diamond frames! It's true though, I too do see around '97 (maybe personally I'd say up to '99 now) as a time where experimenting stopped and things actually started working...
