Ian: Nah decals are not for me... Actually it depends on the bike... I can't imagine an old steel road bike without the paint and decals. And no it certainly isn't stolen! The only theft here are the costs for clearing it at customs... Bug: At the end of the eighties and beginning of the...

The framesaver puts a coating on the inside of the tubes but since it is a very aggressive type of stuff it wouldn't surprise me when it dissolves the rust on the inside. You have to make sure the frame is very dry on the inside when you put it in so you do not trap any moisture in there...

I think you have to consider the refinishing of your frame very carefully. The reason i say this is that we live in Holland which is quite humid. The S-Works has some of the thinnest steel tubes around and does not offer lot's of structural protection against rust. I suggest when you are...

The non original paint that came on this frame was by Cycle Art and was incredibly hard so i had to have the frame sand blasted by an expert. Than i sanded it down with grit 150 to 1000 taking me a lot of time. I actually have to discourage you to have it blasted there it leaves some small...

    Specialized S-Works steel

In the nineties i read an article in Mountainbike action about the steel S-Works mountainbike by Specialized. I loved the looks of it and the cutting edge design with very thin steel tubes. Flashing forward almost twenty years and i stumbled across one her on the forum and bought it for a very...
