Flat handlebars with no - or narrow - centre bulge

    e-stay!

Saracen e-stay Sorry to hijack your thread, but do you remember any details of the Saracen e-stay frames? I have an e-stay frame that I bought recently and just cannot identify it. 1 1/4'' headset, large head gusset, 31.6mm seat pin, bare aluminium, built-in gear hanger... Ring any bells? :?

Curve brake parts I'll have a look in my shed at t he weekend, as I had a set of Curve C3 brakes and levers off a Kona, and I don't need them any more.

    blue seatpost / brakes

Blue Canti's I think I have a set of Tektro canti's in blue, that are like the old Campag' ones. Billet curved arms, ball-and-socket pad adjustment. If you're interested I'll dig 'em out and get a pic.

    A few green bits

Green things I have a pair of what I think are Control Tech green anodised bar ends, and a pair of Tektro green anodised brake levers, and some green chainring bolts, all surplus to requirements and reasonably priced  ...

    Weinman(n) Semi-automatic Brake Adjusters

Ok, continuing on my retro recreation-quest, anybody got or know of where to get a pair of these? They were originally used on sidepull brakes, repacing the cable stop/mount on the top arm, and have a black thumbwheel that lets you easily adjust cable tension. No pics, I'm afraid...

    SunTour cantilever ...erm, thingies.

Those right-angled leverage enhancers that bolt through the fork and rear brake bridge, that Cannondales also used at some stage. Tektro also made them, called them LEDs (Leverage Enhancement Devices). Black, silver or red wanted - do not even have to have the bolts, just the alloy right...

OK then, who can identify my frame?

Who can identify my frame? You're right - DEFINITELY not! Thanks for quick clarification. I think it must be a no-name special, probably a Taiwanese one.

OK then, who can identify my frame?

Hmm... looking at that I now think it is NOT a Rocky Mountain! Seat stays, junction of chainstays, angle of BB support tube are all different, no head gusset, brake cable bosses look different too. What can it be?

OK then, who can identify my frame?

    is this retro?

Er... yes, my whole office is retro (with the exception of the computer equipment)! As to 'Good taste never goes out of fashion... less is more' I'm not sure how that's applying to my bike? Less green, you mean...? :? The grips and bar ends are NOT fluoro green, they just look, erm.. .quite...

    is this retro?

How old do parts need to be before they are considered retro? As you might be able to see, my XC1 has a blend of old and newer parts, so would it count as retro or not? It's only 7 speed but has disc brakes, and it's probably the most modern of my bikes!

OK then, who can identify my frame?

This is my latest project, a retro build based on a frame I bought via the well known online auction site. The vendor thought it might be a Scott, and I'm keen to know what it is, so any ideas? The headset is 1 1/4'', the forks are Tange/Tioga, seatpin diameter is 31.6mm, the rear derailleur...
