They have an internal stiffening skeleton, which used to snap.. Making them flexy. They were rigid originally.. Manufactured by Kirk, distributed by Dawes. They recalled the all from shops and scrapped them. If you had bought one, they offered a full refund.. That's why they are thin on the ground.

Thanks for the info.. It was the closest I found whilst researching. It was one owner until a couple of months ago.. My bike mechanic mate bought it from the original owner, and sold it to me.

Frame is 20.5 inch, but the 24 inch rear wheel makes it sit slightly lower.

Very evocative.. Lovely bike.
