Re: Re: Columbia did just that last night (pushed the limits) and it almost paid off for them, even the non playing staff joined in. Marginal gains :)

A guarded view of Eddie Soens

Great build thread and bike! First time I've seen a bottom bracket shell that has been welded in! You dealt with it well though.

I finally took some photos of the bike this weekend. This build was started by my father who loved Colnagos and particularly loved this Super Confex colour scheme. So it was important to me to try and finish it to the best of my ability. I hope you like it coz I have a couple more projects...

    TVT Angles?

Edited as I copied the data from the TVT table incorrectly. Image attached shows the formulas I used for seat and head angles. I am not sure on the wheel size TVT used for 700c based on the fact they quote 571 for 650c I assume tyreless 700c. Hopefully this is right, but don't flame me if it...

Pic of it in my hallway. Still work in progress. Those are the heaviest pedals known to man and I don't have any other Campag at the mo but I'm starting to like these :). In case anyone asks: I've routed the brake cable on the right side at the rear (on purpose).

    Master Low Pro

Hi, the frame pictured was just after I cleaned it and it pretty much stayed like that until until now. I plan on finishing this one. I wanted to ask for help: if anyone has old photos from books/mags of the Superconfex low pro ('87) that they could scan in and post up that would help :)...

Re: Re: Thanks Pat, I hope to get a low pro (Super Confex) and the ADR Bottecchia finished. I laced the wheels under Stringfellows watchful eye and still need to get them tensioned. All a bit busy at the moment but I'll post pictures when done. The Looks were done when dad was still here.

Hi, I am Chris's son (Lee). Just want to say thank you for the kind words. I have mulled over whether to join or not, but after seeing the above I thought I would. Bike building was a real passion for dad and it kept him going right until the end. There were bike parts still turning up weeks...
