Mine has RSP Team Issue stickers on it. Frame no is H38138.

I've no idea what year it is. I bought it frame and forks only. Assume middle to late 90s with the twin bottle cage mounts. I wonder if they were built as team bikes. Thinking this because of the braze-on race number mount. Very light bike and comfortable. Been out on it today.

Re: Thats in really nice condition. I've had a few of these and two currently reside in my garage. One of them is as new out of the box. However I'm intrigued by this one. As far as I am aware the gold caliper versions also came with gold chainrings, brake levers and hubs. Am I wrong? Lovely...

Ahhh. There are legal mitigating curcumstances. If it's too hot, climbing a hill, in town etc, etc. Never heard or seen anybody been done for it yet. Hordes of Germans/Spanish riding sit up and beg bikes around and no helmets. The police do not want to upset cyclists. They keep the island...

It certainly was. Although I think we were very lucky. I've had it pretty good in winter before but not as good as that. Though every morning I'd set off in longs and gilet but dumped them an hour later. I brought no summer stuff. The locals stuck to sweaters and jackets though.

I'm just back from Mallorca. Had a fantastic time, warm and sunny. Rode with the Sky and Garmin teams. For about 3 seconds. Stayed in Arenal. Paid 115 euros for a carbon bike for 6 days. One shop was doing Carbon Defys for 100 euros for 7 days. Found out too late.

Reading the above about modern BBs and their apparently short life. Do you think it is worth staying with the older loose bearings or races that I have on my older Raleighs?

Yes. Union Jack decal with "made in great britain by hand" plus other decals saying the same. One with a handprint on the toptube/crossbar.

I've just bought this 90s Dawes Galaxy, I think. It rides very well and I have no complaints. However I'm confused. The 531 sticker on the downtube says "531 butted seat tube". My other bikes say things like 531 butted main tubes or 531 frame and forks etc. Does this mean that there is only 1...
