Alternative brakes to avid elixir 5

Thanks for the kind offer gunner. I think I'm edging more and more towards shimano and a full set at that. In for a penny in for a pound  It's very frustrating though, I've spent my quarterly bonus recently on a reverb dropper, some new tyres and upgrading my magic link to the new air...

Alternative brakes to avid elixir 5

I've looked about and there don't seem to be any white 5's available. Apparently discontinued. Shimano were looking good to me. Just nice to get some opinions :)

    TriBars on a MTB

Why not look at some 'dirt drops' there's a good few out there. You may need to change your brake leers to suit and as mentioned a new stem too.

There also the surly 1x1 forks. Had those on my previous bike and they were rather comfy. Come with v and disc mounts.

Alternative brakes to avid elixir 5

I'm looking for an alternative to my current avid elixir 5 brakes. I went OTB some while back and bent the lever on my rear brake. The the piston seized and its looking like a replacement brake is in order. My lbs has tried sourcing spares and has been told sometime maybe, and I've done a little...

    Capital punishment

Funny , I was discussing last night with my cousin (met)about gun control and knife crime how weak we are with sentencing. When someone is sentenced to a period inside, why is it halved with flood behaviour rather than extended for bad. Tangent.

    Capital punishment

My biggest issue with the whole death penalty thing is the appeals system. If you look at the U.S. , people spend decades on 'death row'. Where it is proven beyond reasonable doubt, why can they not just be taken down and put down. The cost of preserving these people far outweighs the benefits.

Advice on attire please - leggings/tights/bikesters etc?

Stirrups or front pockets. I'd personally go for pockets as I'm not sure how stirrups would feel in my boots. But then I wear tights so don't worry about 'riding up' issues.
