Is that an American Gran Sport? Looks to be dressed in Carlton Lagoon Blue and White :)

    Carlton Chrome Frame query

Zeus Competition dropouts were quite flat and plate like, the OP's are Gran Sport IIRC which are more "forged" with the Zeus at the rear of the dropout. Zeus 2000 dropouts had the Zeus and 2000 logo at the top and were thinner. I still think it's a Carleton Competition but with the more...

    Carlton Chrome Frame query

Bocama short point professional lugs, top tube braze ons, brazed on rear brake bridge, seat stay cluster all sort of make me wonder about a Carlton Competition from the late 60's to the Early 70's. The Zeus dropouts are a bit left field though. Mind you even Raleigh were not immune to the...

    1966 Claud Butler specifications.

Back in those days you could buy bikes and frames separately. The frames could be tinkered with. I seem to recall a sales tax thing where bikes had a sales tax where frames and components didn't...... So quite a few frames sold and bits swapped about. Pics would help :)

    brand recognition by "M" letter

Ah, so it does. The brakes are nutted but I bet the frame is built for Allen keys lol

    brand recognition by "M" letter

I wonder what era the OP frame is. Under bb cable guides, short lugs and waisted fork crown. Didn't see any internal routing, mid to late 80's?

    F. Moser PROFESSIONAL recognition 😁

Odd place to put an Oria decal, usually near the seat cluster and on the forks. The M rings a bell but not Moser,? Masi, I'd rather have a Masi lol Scalloped stays at the dropouts might help identify. Is the panto in the shifters Gazelle (not the frame)

For Sale campagnolo gran sport groupset SOLD

Nice price if postage reasonable, it's the Nuovo Gran Sport which I think was launched 1978 ish. Was a step down from Nuovo Record but still well made, the rear mech looked a bit cheap though....

    Carlton Chrome Frame query

Nice, only all chrome frame off the shelf in the 70's was the Cobra and it's not one of them, can't place it as a model,? Catalina? Fork rake and crown puts it before the 70's.

    Ferrule issue (rescued)

Can try and twist off but not a lot to resist the torque and might bend/ open the coils. Give it a go and stop before anything happens to the outer.
