Hi all I’m hoping to put together a drop bar mtb using a 95 Kona Cinder cone I have knocking around , I bought a Sunrace 9 speed bar end shifter to run with a Shimano mtb mech / cassette/ and narrow wide chain ring in a 1x9 set up but I can’t for the life of me get it to index properly ...

As above , cheap front mech wanted . Top swing , bottom pull , 34.9 clamp . Something like a Deore m590 would be ideal . Cheers Paul.

I do have a few seatpost and stem options in the box to play with 😊 my thought was that the Kona is pretty long in the top tube but we shall see lol ! Never done the drop bar thing so it’s a learning curve .
