It’s definitely for the cranks , you have to be careful to hook them out before screwing the extractor in , I’m just not sure if it’s all makes and models of octalink crank though .

Hi all Looking to use some old LX M571 cranks I have knocking around but I can’t find the matching bolts , but there seem to be different types , ie with the thin separate washer or without etc as in the pictures below . Any know what uses what ! Cheers Paul

Thank you , it was orignally going to be 1x 10 but the mech hanger isnt very straight and i got fed up trying to get the 10 speed to index properly so nicked the single speed from the Muni Mula and put the 1x 10 on that ,I love the feel and simplicity of the single speed , if you used the same...
