Take a long flat head screw driver and knock the inner head of the rivet off from inside the bottom bracket. Its very easy and will only take 1 or 2 blows. Then you can prize the cable guide off. Once frame is painted you can pop it back in place. whats left of the rivet will hold it in place...

These are the ones that I make, unfortunately they work out at about £15 - £25 each by time you have had the custom decals made.

Try Corne Bouman on face book. I use him to re-cover saddle and he does a great job. Not seen him do any thing in fabric only leather but might look good reproduced in leather ?

Shame, seems to have been ended early as no longer available. I don't mind people doing that, I do it my self some times but not if there are bids on it. Oh well.

Personally I think that would look great, a nice twist on the original. If you need some one to paint it have a chat to Mark at MRCreations over on face book he would be able to also paint the words on to match.

Great job, you may well find its an SLX frame rather than just an SL. Most Aquilas were SLX but said SL followed by size on the BB.

would agree its a Criterium, but its not the 87/88 one its a later one. There was a 89/90 model which had the darker yellow decals and the later 501 decal like yours does. But I think it still had twin bottles and a cable guides. Altough the guides could have been removed and holes made at some...

I cant recall the model number, but all avocets can use the same two wire mount. So any avocet computer should fit and work. But some have different calibrations depending on model, so you will need to set each one up slightly different in terms of wheel size codes and what not.
