Any wear on the sidewalls at all?

Couple more bits done. The original BB bearings are a bit ratty but smooth so I'll use them until my SRP order arrives. The home made press never let's me down! Also riveted on the BB cable guide.

Morning all, Looking for a threadless stem, 1", around 120mm in length and with some rise please (10-15degree ideal) I'm open to suggestions but something along the lines of a salsa, old titec or even aluminium syncros. I'm on a budget so don't mind something a little scruffy I can refurb. Cheers!

A quick mock up today..

I've actually got a 1989 mountain LX drivetrain and some DX brakes which will be going on. Eventually I'll replace with period XT I think.

I did consider it but I like the contrast. It's going to be built with donar parts from my old rockhopper to start with, to get it useable. I'll then do rolling upgrades.

A few details and the headset cups fitted.... the powder is a little rough around the BB but I've since smoothed it out with some fine wet and dry. I forget how well made these are. To normies it looks like any other bike but if you know you know!!

I specified repsol honda orange for the frame and gloss black for the forks. Went to pick them up yesterday to find both in orange! So for now it's just the frame coming home.....
