Hanging unceremoniously from the Conservatory celling -1930 Selbach...Ben Sharp has been after this one for a time, he's good mate, so may gift it to him in my will. Last Selbach was a 1935 one, and was just not the same, beautiful, 22 1/2" but different beast. Made soon after his death. Anyway...

I perferred the FM too -smooth, tried the auto SA...was it 3 speeder? Anyway had to change yer riding to suit, that was too much for me, apart from that liked the idea. The bike had a Suntour rear on it... I'll get a pic

Hub gears! Within the inner workings of those the standard laws of physics don't seem to apply . . .SA K's and 4 speeds!!! Love 'em.

Superb! I know B'all about 70's 80's stuff -big gap in knowledge there, do hope you lads help enlighten me! Genuinely welcome. Pedals though -got some BSA Boa's on it, they're nice but don't feely right for a tourer...bit sprinty? 50's Platforms be better maybe? Done thing for tourers?

Apologies wasn't the EX, the JUY set up I put on a early 50's 23" Rotax sprayed up White with Blue detailing and sold to an ex Team Speedway rider, retired and wanted something of a Momento of his years riding for them, nice bike that one. Lovely logo.

It's certainly one step up from the old suicide lever on the last EX ! Simplex JUY front and rear (tour du Monde rear was really nice though). All I had in the bits box was that matchbox, it's 50's, but function may be a better choice. After 60 miles of up and down Welsh mountains in mid summer...

Panels -good ol' 2K Custard Cream as original...Right, Cranks, Went for TA Specialites from 1960 rather than a 49D set up...bloody expensive, they are now, nice though :(. Anyway with 5 spd on the rear, wanted 3 on the front for a Vintage tourer. Shimano 300 BB (J rather than ISo -alignment...

Keeping the original paint pattern, measured the panels and transfer before stripping. Want to keep it semi-original, has friction shifter lugs on downtube, could well have been there from factory -so assuming original paint scheme. Keeping originality with a twist, there will be some new parts...
