I do like them and they look fab... I decided to persevere with them and I think they're going to work OK. The hybrid/road style forks are narrower than typical MTB forks so spacing from boss to rim is narrower. The standard brake pads were causing them to stick out even further than "normal"...

@CassidyAce the Marin looks great. The Dawes build stalled because I couldn't get the CR720s set up satisfactorily with the Dia Compe SS5 brake levers I planned to use, also had issues with brake pads/stud position etc... After a fair bit of messing about I've decided to use some generic low...

I really like that. Need another bike like I need a hole in my head though. Glad the postage is £60.

For two bikes. Bought on impulse in Lidl and never mounted or used. It's a good thing, but it's not going to work for me. Hoping to get what I paid (£29.99) plus postage at cost (or collect from Teignmouth, South Devon). As you can see I still have the original box so it should arrive safely.

Well… plan is to build it up and see if I enjoy riding it before I think about restoration work to the frame. Not sure what sort of spec at this stage but probably whatever I can find in the shed… I’m very pleased to own an early lugless Claud and will share progress as, when and if it happens!

I've decided it's time to let go of the Cadex. It's a cracking bike, fast, light and agile, and as a first taste of retro carbon was a real eye opener for me. Unfortunately it's just a bit too racy for my purposes (probably a bit small, too) and isn't getting ridden much. Frame measures 19"...

I ought to get shot of this really... would make a super duper commuter - fast light and rugged enough. It's got v- brakes fitted and although super solid and mechanically well sorted is a bit rough around the edges so you don't need to worry about scratching it. It's 19" c-t. Price depends on...
