Got a 19" Bear Valley 1990. needs repray, but good and solid.

When we talk LX, I assume that you mean Mountain LX. LX didn't emerge from the shimano stable until the early 90s?? Tibolrider, is your rear mech a plain LX or the Mountain LX like the crankset and front mech? I couldn't see detail on your picture. :roll:

O learned ones! I have acquired a 1989 Marin Bear Valley. The main drivetrain kit is original, Mountain LX Chainset and Front mech, but it has a 200GS rear mech. Is this original or would it have had a Mountain LX or similar? Black frame, gold decals, good working order. Any ideas?

I have 2 USE 25.4mm posts in black. One is mid 90s with the yellow, red n green sticker. This has lighter patches where the anodising has been rubbed by a saddlebag and the other is a Y2K with no sticker in good condition. I also have 27.0 and a 30.8 shims for the posts. Both seatposts...

Interested in the QR, only have lightweight titanium or aluminium hex head seat post bolts, very generic!

Don't sell them to anyone else for the moment. I have an original 500LX front mech, but the rest has been replaced. I assume that you have a rear mech, but do you have STI shifters? Thanks
