you have to mix them.
to be honest, you're better with disolvable tabs, they don't leave a sludge at the bottom of the vodka bottle. worth noting that you have to crush the tablet to get them in though, so I guess there are negatives with both approaches.

you only asked for cans, spirit bottles are better suited. 2 Smirnoff bottles and a hand full of miniatures in the frame. uses the space better, but they do clink.
