1996 Kona Hei Hei - The First King Kahuna

New fork is in and installed. It came with a cromo 9.5" steerer tube. I swapped it with the alloy one from the lime fork. The weight difference was 100g. It's also the right length so I dont need over an inch of spacers.

Feels great riding up and down my street.

What does everyone think of the colour ?

New headset. I was originally thinking black (and may still) but found this one locally for a good price. It's the pewter (I think) colour. I think it looks better than the silver anyways, which likely will migrate to the brodie

These showed up earlier than expected.

Smoke and dart reissues. They measure out smaller than the 2.1 they are listed. They dont even make 2.0, but that's fine I was having rubbing issues with the others and these look more the part.

Very happy with the fork performance. It takes a bit more of a bang to get it going. Feels much better.

The new smokes and darts were great today too. Much better drive traction and no washouts.
