I had a Holdsworthy Elan in Atlantic blue new in 1983. I had help from a pro cyclist Alex Wellum who spotted me riding an old Peugeot bike and He said get a real bike, you can ride! He bought me the holdsworth and insisted it had campagnolo groupset with a 5 ring cassette not 6. It had a suede saddle, gentleman 81 rims. I had a tumour 2 years later and didn’t think I’d ever ride again and in a depressed state I sold the elan. The chap who bought it paid £160 and travelled quite a way to kenilworth to buy it. I would love to find an elan and see it every day again. If anyone has one to sell please. Let me know.
