Before giving up on it totally, I'd try taking it to a fastener/bearing shop to see if they can find something that will fit and work properly with the crown race. I've had great luck with finding replacement bearings for hubs and suspension pivots that way. I doubt CK manufacturers their own...
This may be a stupid question and I'm sure it's one I could answer through experimentation...
I have one short cage, rapid rise M951 and a collection of long cage, high-normal M952 rear mechs. I'd really like a short cage, high normal on my M1 but I'm loath to buy yet another derailleur.
Can a...
The steerer on my Z1 Bam was too short for my Dekerf so I popped for a replacement from dr-zocchi on Ebay. It took a while to get to Canada, as one may expect, but was well-packed and looked great. The lowers fit snug in the crown and the quality seems on par with the original. The area around...
New old stock front mechs are cheap and readily available - older front mechs were specific to the tube size of the frame and cheap front mechs work just as well as expensive ones and with little/no weight penalty.
I've bought multiple NOS XTR front mechs for <$50 Canadian and they always seem...
Thanks for the info! I'll measure the spindle size when they arrive and confirm with Profile on the BB spec. Back in the day, some of the hardcore freeride guys at the shop I frequented ran Profiles with 2 rings and a bash, so I knew it was an option. Profile still sells the spider for that...
After an oddly stressful deliberation over which cranks to run on my Dekerf Implant, I decided to go with the Profiles pictured. The plan is to clean/polish them and run 2 rings and a bash guard, not the setup shown (I copied the pictures from the seller's ad on Pinkbike).
Profile cranks by...
I was also surprised the 2.4 fit so well. I pulled it off a Marzocchi Z1 with a bolt-on arch where the fit looked pretty snug.
I forgot to add that both of those tires were on fairly wide rims - the 2.4 is mounted on a Crossmax Enduro and the 2.25 is on a Ringle Black Flag. A wider rim may pull...
Holy cow - are those original welds on the Cunningham or a bodged in patch? It looks like I tacked it in with the flux core I've never read the instructions for.
They mention the quality welds on the Yeti A.R.C., which look great, but there's a shot of the C26 where the headtube welds look...
The stock arch definitely has more tire clearance.
