    TT Legends Bike Re-Born

What a fantastic story. Thanks for making it happen. Ian Cammish was The TT Legend when I first faced the clock. His association with Brian Rourke by that time meant I always wanted a BR frame and I’m happy to say that has just recently happened for me so now I can at least look down at the name...

What is the best groupset over the past 25 years (1998-2023) in your opinion?

    Best Vintage Deals of 2025

How about an early George Longstaff frame for less than 100 notes. I think it’s a TT frame so I plan to deck it out in early 80’s Campag Record; single 54t ring, GP4’s and half taped bars.

What is the best groupset over the past 25 years (1998-2023) in your opinion?

7800 for me. I managed to bags a few groupsets when they could be bought for decent money. Now people are asking 50% more for them. 6600 comes a close second, especially the blue-grey SL version which looks gorgeous. 4600 Tiagra is good too. I prefer the shift on these over Dura-Ace as they are...

So if I had a Joe Waugh would there be any clues to indicate it’s a Dave Yates?

    Joe Waugh bikes.

I understand that Joe Waugh and Dave Yates branded frames and bikes were, back in the 80’s, sold via M Steel Cycles in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. I have read that Dave Yates is credited with having built bikes with both names but his output must have been quite something if he is responsible for all...

    Raleigh Randonneur 708 1997

Hate to put a damper on this thread (I thought my 708 was my forever bike) but I’ve now heard of a second 708 frame cracking. https://forum.cyclinguk.org/viewtopic.php?t=163522 In my experience, that’s unusual for Reynolds frames. Mine went on the down tube and chainstay. The other bike on the...

    Roberts #120 Cyclocross - Restoration

Oooo, I like that. You are lucky to get 35c in there. I can only fit 30c knobblies in my Nigel Dean tourer which means some off-road jaunts are a bit sketchy.
