yup, that's exactly what I was thinking, it`s like a prototype, like raleigh was toying with the idea of an early hybrid, could even be seen as a pioneer trail prototype.

I was browsing the blogs and came across your maverick, this is a real odd one, the forks and frame are off the mk2 5 speed frame, using the u brake, the mk1 frame in burgundy was tange and made by Panasonic with canti braze ons... however yours is a 15speed with u brake frame, which is odd, as...

who done the resprays please? I have an Avanti, I want repainted.

ive got 4 Dyna-techs here at the moment and I can say, its better to have to many, than to little, because you can guarantee that the one you think you don't want, is the one you`ll regret getting rid of, just got back my maverick after 7 years and think more of that, than any of my other bikes...

mine done the same, I ended up getting victornors gel paint stripper on it and done a full respray.

reckon i`ll have to jump in here, with my 86/87 maverick original owner was me, she went down to London for a few years and just got her back :) while I'm here, does any body know the paint code or the colour, I can remember it was a ford colour?
