Thanks, for your response. I’m going to buy the right tools and a decent headset and try and replace the headset myself. I’m thinking of buying Tange Seiki Falcon 1 1/8" Threaded Headset which looks similar to the original headset that’s in the photo.

What should I do to correct it?

Hi, I have a Raleigh Ravine, had it since new however decided to service the headset as it was really overdue. After cleaning it all up, it doesn’t run smoothly at all, resorted to using loose ball bearings just to get it to be rideable. Can anyone show advise me on a new headset that will work...

Looks like a great bike in super condition but I need a 19 inch frame as I’m just over 6ft tall.

Thanks for the advice….it makes a lot of sense. I’ll wait for the right bike to come along. I expect a long wait as not seen many come up for sale in a 19 inch frame.
