Gil doesn’t have the mk1 decals. Seems recreating them could be not so easy. Would he interested in getting a few together to chips in for the creation fee if anyone is up for it? I’m going to submit pics of the decals of two frames in different states

I've just had a pair of classic orange Z1 Bam forks arrive that are in fairly good nick, but would be great to touch up a few bits. Has anyone come across a similar colour? Don't see many orange cars on the road!

Good to know. If I can just run a single ring with no guide and the mech/ring will do the job, that's ideal. What cassette/mech/hub/ring are you running?

Been look at forks for my MK1 Chameleon and seeing what was around then. I actually had a pair of these about 10 years ago. Looking at Manitou's line up back then, why would Palmer have what was essentially a signature XC fork over lets say the X-Vert?

Looking for some advice on era correct chain devices, tempted by an slalom MRP but kinda heavy. Were there any decent chain guides at the time without the plates? I remember DMR's being really bad.

Frame has arrived! Love the lines/angles. Paint is kinda bad. Decals even worse. Waiting to see if Gil can do the decals specific to this version and thinking of a powder coat. I like idea of sticking to black.
