I have a couple of ES300 Octolink BBs lying around, I think one is 113mm and the other 118mm but I can check when I get home if they would be of any interest.
Pretty much all those negatives apply. You could probably also add not at all aerodynamic and given that the fast time trial courses back then were pan flat a pointless exercise in weight reduction.
A friend of mine back in polytechnic days decided to drillium his steel frame, I'll let you...
I guess the same principle applies regardless of whether it's Campag or Shimano. I was using an 8 speed chain which is just a bit wider than 10 speed so that's probably why the chain rub was happening. I have used an 11 speed chain on 10 speed chainrings and not had any issues.
Very nice! Looks similar to one I have, which EB dated to 1973 when I gave them the serial number. Mine is branded Favori and they had the name of the person who ordered it on file and that was the person I bought it from.

I am 99.9% certain I have one of those along with a matching 50t outer in the loft. They came off a Veloce chainset but the rings look nicer than the stamped ones Veloce usually have. I will have a look when I get home and get some photos up if so.
Top rider and a really nice bloke. He was guest speaker at one of our club dinners back in the day and was the best we ever had. Very relaxed and entertaining.
