1992 GT Timberline frame on eBay - 18" frame

I had two of these in the 90's, both this white colour and the alternate forest green colour (my first GT was the forest green Timberline). They're quite easy to upgrade but a little bit on the heavy side. Solid bikes though. Plain gauge Tange chromoly steel frame. If it wasn't for the green...

For Sale Shimano Deore DX seatpost Silver

For sale: Finally got round to take some photos of this lovely seatpost, it is in really nice condition and came fitted to my 1991 GT Avalanche I recently bought. unfortunately it was not the correct size for my Avalanche as that required a 27.0mm seatpost and I got the original seatpost...

    Antwack’s 1998(?) GT LTS 2000

@Antwack You can buy presta valve inner tubes with different length valves from Decathlon, standard size is 48mm and the longer 60mm which should easily fit deep section rims. I am sure you can find long valve inner tubes from other outlets too. ;)

New Other GT Timberline on eBay 🧐

I paid £400 for my 1991 GT Avalanche, including the 2x4 forks I bought on eBay, But then, that was an Avalanche, I wouldn't have paid that for a Timberline as that sits a few models down in the line up.

New Other GT Timberline on eBay 🧐

The Timberline is not a bad model to work on and restomod, but it is expensive for what it is...

My next project - sneak peek

Another quick update, brakes, derailleurs and cables fitted. Will need to source a Shimano XT rear derailleur next as the Deore one is just ugly. 😑 I am quite pleased with how it looks, I definitely prefer the way this frame looks over the one it replaced!

My next project - sneak peek

It is not a huge difference so can't see an issue using my 100mm travel Fox Float 100RL forks on the 2001 Zaskar. Will swap out the crown race and re-grease the headset tomorrow after work. More photos will follow soon. ;)

My next project - sneak peek

I have just held the 2011 Zaskar up against the 2001 Zaskar and the difference in the geometry is noticeable, so I wouldn't want to fit anything longer than 100mm travel on the 2001 Zaskar.

My next project - sneak peek

I may well build both but keep them for myself. 😁

My next project - sneak peek

Just weighed the 2011 Zaskar which came in at 2067 grams with the seat collar, part of the headset(sealed bearings), and bottle cage still fitted.
