Even without a repaint (which in my view it doesn't need), a bike of this calibre deserves a much nicer chainset.

Yes, I’ve put it on and I’ve realised I don’t like the shapes at the spider. Was never really going to stay but I really want to ride it! Still like the idea of a Raceface Turbine

A bike with a less pretty chainset but which you can ride is ten million times better than one with a beautiful but theoretical chainset you can't!

They are but the arms have likely sold seperately now, just waiting on payment hence still up for sale on eBay and here infact too.
I’ll pull them if/when the gent here pays.

Not sure why but the layback on the Controltech seatpost played on my mind, think it’s due to the original being inline.
So an inline thompson post arrived and immediately installed. Also allows the cuffs to match the collars when I get the thompson stem as well.

Think it looks better…but maybe exactly the same
