Picked this up on here recently and thought I'd document the build.

This isn't gonna be 100% period correct, but hopefully it'll end up as a useful do anything ATB I can keep for good.

Here are the photos from the for sale thread, right before the bb and headset were removed and it was driven to the powdercoaters.....

I specified repsol honda orange for the frame and gloss black for the forks. Went to pick them up yesterday to find both in orange! So for now it's just the frame coming home.....

A few details and the headset cups fitted.... the powder is a little rough around the BB but I've since smoothed it out with some fine wet and dry. I forget how well made these are. To normies it looks like any other bike but if you know you know!!

So the fork remains black. Would have picked orange too.

So what is your plan for the build?
I did consider it but I like the contrast.
It's going to be built with donar parts from my old rockhopper to start with, to get it useable. I'll then do rolling upgrades.

Good to hear you sent the forks back. Always think these look so much better with different colour forks. These are beautifully detailed frames. Look forward to seeing what you do with it
